An afternoon doing laps at Blakeney is a great way to knock the cobwebs out at the start of the season. There is nothing really difficult at most flows, but there is definitely a choice of routes and some moves to make. If the top bit looks too shallow or too scary, practice on the chutes and eddylines at the bottom of the rapids.
To get there; take exit 163 off Highway 417, going SW on Panmure road. After going through Panmure, turn left onto Blakeney road/County road 17. Just past Blakeney, cross the river and park on the right. The put in is opposite where you park.
