Jock river, Upper

This spring trip is pleasant floating, with an easy shuttle. The river meanders pleasantly through farmland for a while before entering a swampy stretch. This may have a fallen tree or two blocking the obvious channel, but there is probably a way through without having to get out of your boat. The railway line on the right and golf course on the left indicate that you are approaching Richmond. Stop on the left when you see your shuttle vehicle.

To get to the take out; Find Jock River Park, Richmond, at the end of Lennox street. Parking is within sight of the river.

To get to the put in; Go back out to the main road through Richmond (Perth street), and turn left. Turn left on Munster road, and park just after the road crosses the river.
